Laws we should change - a running list

  • Reapportionment Act of 1929
    • The House of Representatives should be much bigger so it can take up more of the work of policy making, along with more legislative policy-making agencies that could be run by members of Congress who work on regulatory matters that have been ceded to the executive. House races should be smaller scale. Congress right now costs 3.5 billion - 0.05% of the federal budget.
  • Uniform Congressional District Act
    • This should be amended to allow for multi-member districts (elected via proportional representation methods like Single Transferable Vote) so that more people in a 51-49% district have a representative who can carry their views.
